FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Who can participate in the spot market?

Companies that have completed GasTrade NG's institutional registration, KYC/KYB review and been approved for trading access.

How is available gas allocated?

Bids are ranked by GasTrade NG's rules-based matching engine considering price, volume, pipeline compatibility, delivery point and buyer credit status, then reviewed by an authorised trading administrator before confirmation.

Can I see other participants' bids?

No. Buyers cannot see competing buyers' identities or bids, and sellers cannot see competing sellers' confidential information. Only aggregated, anonymised market information is published.

What happens after allocation?

Allocated participants receive a trade confirmation referencing the applicable standard form agreement, followed by daily nomination and delivery processes.

Is a listing on GasTrade NG a binding offer?

No. Information on GasTrade NG does not constitute an automatic binding offer unless expressly identified as such. A transaction becomes binding only following the processes in the applicable executed GasTrade NG agreement and an authorised trade confirmation.
